Many Happy Returns
20 years ago today I was broadsided and should have died in the accident. This moment changed my life irreversibly. It was horrible and frightening. Might just have well jumped over the proverbial edge of the cliff. I survived because God’s angel sat between me and my car door, soaking up the impact and softly whispering his support and comfort.
I wrote a book within 2 years, then set it aside and coped with what was left of my life.
Ten years ago I found it and read it. I was amazed all over again at each of the nine miracles God used to help me through that serious time. I did a rewrite and gave it to my friends at our writer’s group to help me edit it for publishing.
I published it on Createspace.com and then Amazon in digital. Also Amazon in print. My book, “God Speaks,” is not unusual nor without peer. It does, however, show God’s promises in His Word, the Bible, are true in every sense of the word. My greatest enlightenment from this whole experience is that every single person who is conceived has God’s undivided attention and He is ready to aid each of us in an instant, with or without our consent. We don’t have to sound a siren and wait for help to come. He is literally there every single moment of our lives.
And that’s worth thanking God for as often as we are able to stop, look up, and be thankful with glad, full hearts.
That’s why I’m celebrating this anniversary, in spite of the pain, suffering, anguish and torment it caused in its wake. My mother and I once embarked upon a journey years before she passed in 2004 that would resolve the disparagement we felt in bad experiences and the joy God said we could have from them. Mom asked how you could be happy when something bad happened to you, looking back at WW II in Berlin Germany. Now we see. Mom is in heaven and we agree.
God is Good!
Many Happy Returns!
